This day marks the time of the year where all proud Malaysians shout "MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!" in unison & rejoice in our 52nd year of Independence from former British colonial rule back in 1957.This year's event however has been toned down a notch in the Government's effort to observe the holy Muslim month of Ramadan. Malaysia is officially a Muslim country, but "Islam is not Malaysia's official religion" as mentioned on MalaysiaKini. I still don't get it...
Anyway in the spirit of celebration, I would like to take this opportunity to wish ALL fellow Malaysians a HAPPY & BLESSED MERDEKA! Drive safe folks!
